Why You Have to Manually Type F-U-C-K On Your Cellphone (Mildly NSFW) [Profanity]
A. It makes you a better, politer person, savage. B. Because predictive text was invented by British dudes, at least according to this hilarious clip by (British) comedic duo Armstrong and Miller. Of course, the first thing I do when I get a phone is totally program it to only offer up dirty words.

Apparent third-party Wiimote makes its purple debut
![]()
Posted Jan 25th 2008 3:31PM by Donald MelansonFiled under: Gaming It’s not the first third-party Wiimote we’ve seen, but if the very purple device you see above is what it purports to be, it could well be the very first to actually hit the market, albeit in Europe-only for the time being. Dubbed the “Riimote,” this one comes to us from peripheral maker Snakebyte, which apparently isn’t providing many details on the remote just yet but is promising that it’ll be available in Europe on Feburary 8th for the not-so-bargain price of €39.99 (or just under $60). The Weight Is Over: Extra-Thin TVs Hit the Scales [TVs]
![]()
This year’s CES TV competition wasn’t about how big TVs could be, but how thin they could get. Samsung, JVC, Hitachi, Panasonic, Sharp, Pioneer and developer LG.Philips were all showing off their rendition of belt-tightening in the flat-panel age. Some of you perceptively noted that up against a wall, inside a cabinet or on a stand, a 1″ thick TV looks the same as a 20″ thick TV, let alone a 5″ thick set, so like big frickin’ deal. We’re with you. The truth is, while thin is sexy, the untold story is how much less this new crop of TVs will weigh. Both LCD and plasma will weigh substantially less in the coming years. How much less? Plasma will definitely drop more than LCD, but in both cases, the weight loss is astonishing. (Read the full post about ‘The Weight Is Over: Extra-Thin TVs Hit the Scales [TVs]’…)

Review: Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice for PSP
![]()
I played a near-finished version of Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice back in December, a few days after I first saw the game at the Sony Spring 2008 Preview Event. At the time, I thought the game looked pretty good, and was eagerly anticipating the finished product. It’s nearly January 29, the game’s launch date, but the embargo on the title recently dropped. Read on to find out if the review lives up to the preview. Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice is the sequel to a best-selling PSP title Pursuit Force. This game improves upon the first game in nearly every way, adding plenty of new content for fans of that title. (Read the full post about ‘Review: Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice for PSP’…)
iPhone primed for new sales price: $299
![]()
From the latest sales figures from Apple and partner AT&T, the iPhone is looking ripe for another discount. Figures culled from the pairs releases, their seems to be an inventory glut or a lot more jailbreaking than anyone is admitting. So what is Apple gonna do? Simple, do what they did before (and oh yeah, what everyone else does): drop prices. We know they’ve got the 3G phone waiting in the wings. 3rd party applications are raging to be released (not the ear-pinning IBM got for talking about Lotus Notes). AT&T dropped the no business discount they had going. All these signs point us to new introduction and price drop for current product. I think Apple found the sweet spot of $399 and will likely put the new 3G phone there. We’ll most likely see some kind of cosmetic change to the design, just to make a visual differentiation and make the masses crave the new. Usual Apple protocol. GloFab Fiber Optic Lamps Look…Halfway Decent? [Glowingglofab]
![]()
When most of us think fiber optic lamps, we have visions of black plastic casing emitting rainbow effects through fiber optic tubes sticking out in pony tail fashion. GloFab challenges the ugly fiber optic stereotype by weaving together what is almost a fiber optic fabric around a single light source, and shaping it into spheres or various custom fixtures. Staring at this ceiling fan that we’ve meant to replace for years, we’re given more ideas, but sadly, not any addition motivation. galleryPost(’glofab’, 8, ”);.
