Fan-made PSP mockup is far sexier than the real thing will ever be
Posted Feb 11th 2008 2:23PM by Ryan BlockFiled under: Gaming Good gawd y’all, we don’t normally bother with fan renders and mockups, but excepting the awkward placement of the L and R triggers there’s almost nothing about this PSP re-visioning that leaves us wanting. Gank that UMD, add some flash memory, and this is our be-all end-all fantasy portable gaming device — that will likely never ever be made.[Via PSP Fanboy]Tags: game, games, Hi-fi, players (Read the full post about ‘Fan-made PSP mockup is far sexier than the real thing will ever be’…)

Novatel MC930D USB Modem
Novatel just released its new Ovation MC930D USB modem that will hit theoretical download rates of 7.2Mbps as well as upload rates of 2.1Mbps, but don’t be surprised when you find that actual performance is way below the given figures. Setup is also a snap with the MC930D as it comes with automatic configuration, and you don’t even need to find any drivers since the flash memory already holds those. Each purchase of the Ovation comes wtih a splitter cable for that added power boost beyond a notebook’s USB port. Local carriers ought to be shipping the new Ovation sometime this month at a yet undisclosed price. (Read the full post about ‘Novatel MC930D USB Modem’…)

Starbucks gets hot with AT&T; ciao T-Mobile
Got a Starbucks gift card?  Bam, you’ll get 2 free hours of WiFi at Starbucks soon.  AT&T DSL customers will soon be able to sip lattes and surf for free as Starbucks just announced it will be switching WiFi services at its 7000 locations in the US.  Holders of paid subscriptions to T-Mobiles service will still be able to access the WiFi at Starbucks, thanks to some hearty negotiations.  The AT&T rollout will begin this spring. This makes some sense for Starbucks as they have worked to partner with Apple on iTunes and there was the rumor of a iPhone/touch ordering system that may or may not be still in the works. SanDisk Announces 16GB iNAND Flash Drive

SanDisk Announces 16GB iNAND Flash Drive
Guess cell phones are going to come with an increasing amount of memory in the future, thanks to SanDisk’s 16GB iNAND embedded flash drive offering that will usurp the 8GB model from its top dog position. The 16GB number is made possible courtesy of advances in multi-level cell NAND flash technology. It boasts plug and play integration with cell phones thanks to its adherence to JEDEC package and ball-out requirements. Expect handsets rolling out in Q2 onwards to come with the 16GB iNAND, and I must say I definitely look forward to the 32GB version which is tipped to be introduced in the second half of this year. Could the iPod face its greatest challenge yet? What you see on the right is the 8GB version. (Read the full post about ‘SanDisk Announces 16GB iNAND Flash Drive’…)
