A new social networking site has launched this week that puts as much importance on sharing information about your location as it does about yourself.
The site is called Gypsii and relies on the use of a mobile phone to track your whereabouts in order to use its unique features. Users can install the Gypsii software on their phones and then use it to share their locations with others through the site and also associate media with what they are doing at those locations–a feature known as PlaceMe. A friend will then be able to see where you are in the world and what you are doing through photos, video, and messaging.
Another feature of Gypsii is called SpaceMe.

Sharp recently introduced a new blue laser that maintains the same 3.3mm diameter of its predecessor, although the GH04P25A4G semiconductor laser does feature a power boost to 250mW. This results in 6x recording speeds for dual-layer Blu-ray media that targets laptops while an equally speced 5.6-mm (GH04P25A2G) is available for desktop jocks. Mass production of both lasers will begin this April, although they are already being shipped now. Tags: wi-fi, pvp, laptops, video game (Read the full post about ‘Sharp Has New Blue Laser’…)

The AMKAR E-6 is one unique vehicle as it can carry up to six passengers besides being wheelchair accessible. Since it is battery powered as well, you don’t have to worry about adding to the pollution in your area, while bringing green accessibility to the disabled community. The E-6, when carrying two wheelchair passengers, has more than enough room to cater for four other ambulatory passengers. The wheelchair accessible ramps were specially designed to be opened and closed at the push of a button, and it operates in a similar fashion as that of a disabled-friendly public bus. Other features include safety glass windshields, headlamps, taillights, turn signals, high mounted stoplights, mirrors, and three-point safety belts. For the latest info on the coolest gadgets, emerging technology and wired madness, subscribe to our full news feed or have it delivered to your inbox. Always free. Always unique. Thanks for visiting! I am a sucker for some good movie memorabilia. Personally, I found Spiderman 3 a little bit long in the tooth, but it has its fans. A few props from the franchise have been doing the rounds and the Green Goblin stuff has been among the most popular. It is a hard rubber sword, 31-inches long and said to be in perfect condition. The detailing looks pretty cool and I the seller buysellcollections has a solid 99.7% satisfaction rating. That all makes for a big auction. What is your laptop worth to you? I am not just talking about the cost of the hardware, but the data on it as well. According to one owner, she believes that her laptop, including the data on it, is worth about US$54 million. Mind you, that includes some added dollars for lost time and frustration.
According to MSNBC’S “The Red Tape Chronicles” blog, Raelyn Campbell is suing Best Buy for losing her laptop. As you have probably guessed by now, she wants $54 million from the retailer. Campbell had taken her laptop in for repairs only to have the laptop turn up missing. That amount comes after Best Buy attempted to reimburse her for the lost laptop by paying her $900.

When I’m on the road covering an even of some sort, I have several different memory cards that go with me. My Canon Rebel needs a Compact Flash card, my backup Kodak camera has an SD card, my phone takes a microSD and even my camcorder wants a Sony Memory Stick. Naturally, each card has its own little plastic case, which can be something of a hassle. If you’ve got as many cards to carry as I do, you might like this Flash Memory Card Holder. The case looks to be about the size of an Altoids tin and slides open to reveal three separate compartments which hold up to 10 different memory cards. Unfortunately, it’s rare to actually need 10 different types of flash memory, so it would be nice if you could customize the holder to your liking. Anticipation is getting high when it comes to the latest ThinkPad, the Lenovo X300. Since the release of the macbook air, laptops are seemingly now judged not only based on features and the overall weight, but also how thin they are. While the X300 may not be as thin as the MacBook Air, it does have some goodies that will make up for any small difference in size. The two laptops weigh in pretty close with the X300 coming in at 3.12 pounds and the Air at 3.0 pounds. Both laptops also come with a 13-inch widescreen display and have full sized keyboards, but that is where the similarities go away. (Read the full post about ‘Lenovo’s X300 ThinkPad, it may not be thinnest, but its full-featured’…)
