My clock radio wakes me up every morning just around the time the guy from NPR delivers the weather forecast. Invariably, though, I smack the snooze button and never hear if it’s going to be rain or shine. But I don’t have that problem anymore now that Brookstone’s WeatherCast Alarm Clock is perched by my bed. It streams weather information from accuweather.com wirelessly and without a subscription fee. I can push the snooze alarm all I want but the customizable time and weather is always displayed on the 3 X 4.5 inch LCD. With the touch of a button I can switched between the five day forecast or today’s current weather with temperature and weather forecasts for the next 24-hour period broken out in four 6-hour chunks. Hey, will you take a look at this device? If your mind blows crazy about all kind of seaside activities (such as swimming or surfing) then you may find the Shark Shield Device potentially useful. This weird cable emits some kind of electric fields in order to keep the Great White at a respectable distance from you (or your boat). The bad news - it’s still under testing and the results are not so inspiriting so far. During some tests off the coast of South Australia the device failed due to a problem with an electrode and was smashed into pieces by a ferocious big shark. Luckily, the Shark Shield was attached to a float, not to a human living body. (Read the full post about ‘Shark Shield Device may save your ass’…)

Bottle Opener Key By Suck UK No More Breaking Your Teeth Opening Bottles An award winner no less. Sometimes, very simple is perfect and here is a good example of that. It looks like a front door key but it is in fact a cunningly disguised bottle opener. This can make you look very cool at parties when people think you are using a real key and can’t work out why their shed key doesn’t quite do it. Alcoholics too can conceal their tools of the trade and beer monsters who were once scouts will always be prepared. I’m sure there’s a door it will open too. Posted Mar 5th 2008 8:16AM by Thomas RickerFiled under: Features, Gaming At this point, the only thing that could make NVIDIA’s GeForce 9800 GX2 any more real is an actual street release. Nevertheless, here it is, displayed with glory and gusto at the Innovision booth here at CeBIT. They wouldn’t take it out of the case by order of NVIDIA but we did get confirmation that the anticipated graphics king will launch before March is done for an undisclosed price. Plenty of pics of the card and box for your GPU sleuthing in the gallery below. (Read the full post about ‘Eyes on NVIDIA’s GeForce 9800 GX2′…)

Microsoft has launched its Office Live Workspace into Beta, offering users a place to upload, store, and share MS Office related documents for free.
The service gives each user 500 MB of storage with a single document having an upper file size of 25 MB. You can share any uploaded documents with up to 100 people, and all the formats used in Office applications are supported as well as PDF and image files. Apple and Nike have announced the next stage of the Nike+ rollout. Right now, Nike+ lets your iPod talk to your shoes, but in the future, your iPod will talk to stationary bikes, step machines, treadmills and other torture devices. Apple and Nike are in talks with gym equipment makers to include the Nike+ functionality in their machines so that their use can be tracked and aggregated. At the start of a workout, you plug your ipod into the machine and it will record everything you do for later upload to a computer, and then on to the Nike+ site via iTunes. The point of Nike+, as we see it, is to bring a little bit of geek appeal to the square old world of sports, and adding a whole lot of gym-gadgets into the mix can only help those straights gain some nerd-cred.
