The TV2ART Kabé cabinet targets flat panel TV owners as it comes in a couple of modes. The first mode features a large rowboat painting right on the inside, making it a piece of art decoration for the home while sliding it over will reveal the second mode - your flat panel TV will be displayed, and I believe the latter mode will be where the cabinet stays most of the time. There are several styles to choose from, although it would be nice if you could mount your preferred large painting inside as well. At least it helps prevent more dust from getting to the TV that normal. (Read the full post about ‘TV2ART Kabé Cabinet’…)

Samsung Ace Smartphone (Sprint/Nextel) Okay, let’s make one thing clear before we start out: Apple’s iphone is the handset of the moment — maybe even the next few moments. While this isn’t exactly news to anyone, it may come as a surprise (to even the most pretentious gadget hound) that there is a healthy second-tier of business-savvy PDA/phone combos hitting the market right before the iPhone celebrates its first birthday. Leading this charge is the Samsung Ace, the CDMA counterpart of the GSM equipped BlackJack II. There are times when the Ace is a legitimate competitor to the iPhone and then there are times when the handset simply gets stuffed short of the goal line. “Why, you little runt…” is a pretty common phrase heard all over the place, especially in day-care centers with exasperated caregivers. The 3.25″ Runt stun gun looks like a pager, but it is capable of kicking out 350,000 volts of juice for a mere $40. If you want the 650,000 and 950,000 volts versions, you will need to top up the initial price with another $10 and $20, respectively. Residents living outside of New York, Massachusetts, Michigan, Hawaii, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, Illinois, New Jersey or the cities of Baltimore, Philadelphia or Washington, DC will be able to use the Runt. Corsair, the memory manufacturer which sounds like a 1970s airline, claims that its new Mac-tuned RAM will make the MacBook and MacBook Pro run up to 28% faster. How does it perform this seemingly impossible trick? Low latency, the explanation for which is so dense we find it easier to just think of it as magical fairy dust: Corsair’s Mac Memory features special Serial Presence Detect (SPD) profile characteristics, so that Macs can self-configure for optimal performance for critical applications. The graphs look impressive. According to the one above, Corsair’s memory shaves almost 30 seconds from a fairly demanding Photoshop task (it’s also one of the only times you will read the words “shorter is better”). Intel is ready to drop some quad-core mobile chips in a few months. The chips are part of Intel’s Extreme line and will cost just over US$1,000 apiece, but you do get four cores for that. The Core 2 Extreme QX9300 tops out initially at 2.53GHz and will have a 1066MHz front side bus and 12MB L2 cache.
The chips have a maximum Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 45W and will be manufactured on a 45nm process as you might expect for minimum power usage. You may not one in your ultra-light yet, these will probably find a home more in high-end performance workstations and gaming laptops.

The United States is no longer the nation with the largest number of internet users. China overtook the US last month in users for the first time, according to the state-run China Internet Network Information Center. Researcher BDA China Ltd. estimates there are now over 220 million internet users in China, compared with 217.1 million in the U.S. Online ad revenue continues to lag in China, however, totaling $1.3 billion in 2007 compared to e-Marketer estimates of $21.4 billion in America. Maybe it’s time for me to start promoting the Chinesse translation of my blog. (Read the full post about ‘China Now #1 Internet Market’…)

This mirrored iphone case not only helps keep your precious iPhone’s screen safe from unwanted scratches but it also doubles up as a mirror whenever the display is turned off. The protector itself is a snap to apply and remove, and you will be able to wash and replace it as often as you like, although I’m pretty sure there will come a time when the protector is so scratched up, you’d need to fork out another $9.95 to pick another one up from Proporta. Each purchase comes with an application card that helps prevent bubbles from appearing and a screen polishing cloth. Other than the iPhone, there are also ipod touch and 3G nano versions to choose from. Tags: speaker, consumer electronics, camera, laptops (Read the full post about ‘Mirrored iPhone Protector’…)
