Cellink USB microSD memory card reader

Cellink of Korea has launched a new USB microSD memory card reader that is built into a mobile charger, targeting the Korean market specifically. The Cellink T doubles up as a portable data storage when you slide it open, and if you need to charge your handset, change it to swing mode instead. In addition, it makes for the perfect intermediary tool to transfer data like photos, videos and music from a phone to PC and vice versa. No idea if this will be exported outside of Korea or not. Aluminum Laptop Briefcase

Aluminum Laptop Briefcase

I’m pretty sure you remember the feeling of bringing home a shiny new laptop, and you would (for at least a month) do all you can to prevent it from getting any scratches or nicks. Here’s the Aluminum Laptop Briefcase for all you first timers out there. Keep your laptop safe in this hard shelled case and look stylish to boot. The Aluminum Laptop Briefcase looks like you filled it with diamonds and snuck it out of a bank vault, but in reality it has adjustable interior dividers to hold up to a 17″ laptop in comfort and style. Of course no metal briefcase would be complete without a pair of combination locks and a myriad of pockets to store documents, cables and accessories. 50-LED Solar Motion Floodlight

50-LED Solar Motion Floodlight

Since the 50-LED Solar Motion Floodlight relies on the power of the sun to get it going, you don’t have to worry about spoiling your room with ugly wiring. Super-bright 50-LED floodlight is as bright as a 10w halogen bulb, and stays on for 15-60 seconds (your choice) past last motion detected. And since this motion sensor light is solar-charged, you can mount it anywhere, even where there’s no electricity: shed, pool area, deck. 15′ cord connects the adjustable solar panel to the light, to position the panel in direct sunlight. Plus, this solar security light has an adjustable light sensor that prevents daylight turn-on. (Read the full post about ‘50-LED Solar Motion Floodlight’…)

Mini Solar-Powered Car

Mini Solar-Powered Car
Solar cars are, unfortunately, still in the research and development phase, although we saw one recently that drove from Texas to New York in 5 days. Despite being impressive, it’ll likely be years before we have one sitting in the driveway, charging. Until then this working miniature model will have to keep us entertained. The world’s smallest solar powered car - it zooms along when the sun shines on the solar panel. No batteries - it gets its power just from the sun. No assembly required. Measures a tiny 3.3 x 2.2 x 1.4 cm. When the sun shines on the solar panel, the panel makes electricity that turns the motor and the wheels. A fun demonstration of solar power. Palm gains more losses by the million, delays release of Palm Treo 800w until summer

Palm gains more losses by the million, delays release of Palm Treo 800w until summer
Sad news for Palm Treo and Windows Mobile fans: Palm CEO Ed Colligan recently announced a $31.5 million net loss for Palm and said that “new Windows Mobile Treos” are “not coming out this quarter,” then follows it up with saying the new Windows Mobile Treo smart phone should be available by the end of this year’s summer. I like how Mr. Colligan uses the term “new Windows Mobile Treos” (note that it’s Treos, with an S) when he could actually just as easily say that the Palm Treo 800W will be having a slight delay in coming out. I almost don’t want to believe that they can’t do anything about this and release their new WinMo Treos sooner, when they know very well that they need it to salvage their flailing enterprise. Wired editor Leander Kahney gives away two Mac books via torrent

Wired editor Leander Kahney gives away two Mac books via torrent
Hoping to emulate the success of Paolo Coelho with his books after releasing them as free digital downloads, Wired managing editor Leander Kahney and his publisher Bill Pollock of No Starch Press have posted two Apple-oriented books on The Pirate Bay. Full electronic versions of the two books, Cult of Mac and Cult of iPod, have been seeded via torrent on Pirate Bay and are now available for download. “We want to see if giving away copies of the books will have any effect on sales.”, says Kahney. Bill and Leander have taken a huge risk here by pirating their own wares, but then again, the chances of failure could also be equal to the chances of success. Teclast’s M26 PMP touts oodles of touchscreen

Teclast’s M26 PMP touts oodles of touchscreen
Posted Mar 22nd 2008 12:57PM by Darren MurphFiled under: Portable Audio, Portable Video Quite frankly, Teclast’s M25 was darn close to being solid, but it’s pretty safe to say the M26 trumped it tenfold by ditching the scroll wheel in exchange for a few more millimeters of precious touchscreen. This admittedly sexy PMP features a 2.6-inch 400 x 240 resolution capacitive touch panel, support for RMVB, RM, FLV and AVI file formats, TV out and Microsoft’s PlayFX abilities, too.
