Folding Bike-In-A-Closet Hack

Posted on Apr 9, 2008 05:06:26 AM

Over at Treehugger, Graham Hill has solved the problem of where to park a folding bike. Keeping your ride inside keeps it safe, but it makes for some ugly clutter in a small city apartment. Graham took inspiration from the ducks that hang in the windows of Chinese restaurants, and his Stridas are now safely and neatly housed in his closet.

The cheap and ingenious plan involved a trip to a Chinese supermarket for a couple of $2 meat hooks. That’s it. IKEA sells something similar, the Grundtal , which costs $3 for a pack of five and looks to be a little sturdier. A smart DIY project, but we wonder just where Graham keeps his clothes now.
