According to the spokesperson, the deal is perfect for those whose mobile phones were recently damaged, those who want an extra handset, or those who’re visiting the country.

How-to guide illustrates process of upgrading your laptop
by Darren Murph, posted Apr 25th 2008 at 9:31AMConjuring up your own desktop is pretty far down on the list of “world’s most difficult tasks,” but actually building your own laptop is another thing entirely. As we’ve seen with Ben Heck’s creations, assembling a lappie rather than buying a pre-fabricated model is a serious undertaking, and while Computer Shopper’s guide to constructing your own is more of an “upgrade an existing” walk-through, it’s still chock full of interesting tidbits. Ever had the urge to snap up a barebones lap warmer and have your way with it? (Read the full post about ‘How-to guide illustrates process of upgrading your laptop’…)

France says Fiber-Optic Cabling is a must

Posted on Apr 26, 2008 01:57:51 PM

As much as this seems like too much government to me, there’s a part of me that wishes I lived in France where the French government is requiring builders to install fiber-optic cabling in new apartment complexes. The goal is that by 2010, all buildings with more than 25 apartments should be wired for broadband.

Re-live The 80’s With The Cassette MP3 Player

Re-live The 80’s With The Cassette MP3 Player
It always fascinates me that you can take something, make it look old and it’s suddenly cool because it’s “retro.” Aside from the ability to create mix tapes, there wasn’t anything cool about the cassette tape that I ever saw. This Cassette mp3 player would probably be the closest thing to cool that the cassette tape will ever get. What makes this device cool is that it can act as both a stand-alone MP3 player and as a cassette tape. If you actually still have a stereo that takes the old tapes, you can put this in and it will play just the same. It’ll set you back $40, which is a bit steep considering the fact that you’ll need to supply your own SD card to store the music. Walkie Talkie Watches keep your hands free
Walkie talkies are useful for keeping in touch with people in the great outdoors. Sure, your cell phone is almost as easy to use (or just as easy if you have push-to-talk), but unfortunately if you’re in the great wild, you aren’t going to have much luck getting a signal. If you’re one that doesn’t want to mess with carrying a walkie talkie around in your hand or on your belt all the time, why not get a pair of that sit on your wrist. Sure, these Walkie Talkie Watches might be a little big to wear around as ordinary watches all the time, but look less obtrusive than your average device.
