Kage roi table does your web searches for you
by Joshua Fruhlinger, posted Jun 30th 2008 at 6:42PM Only recently we told you about a table that monitors who is dominating a conversation and deemed it potentially disruptive. This time, however, we’re looking at the “Kage roi” which looks to add to the coming together of wits and intelligences. Using voice recognition, Kage roi grabs keywords and performs internet searches, displaying the results for each to see. To add it all, the table even uses colored LEDs to set the mood. For instance, if you work with a group of morning people, set it to sunrise. Star Trek Bottle Opener
It is good to know that just like sex, drinking is a universal value. How else do you explain the Star Trek Experience bar located at Hilton Las Vegas? Not to mention numerous drinking holes found in the Star Wars universe, but we’re here to concentrate on the former series today with a unique bottle opener. As well as its supreme practicality, the Starship Enterprise Bottle Opener serves as a constant tribute to the most iconic pretend spacecraft in televisual history. Better still it’s embossed with the legendary NCC-1701 registration, so you can be sure you’re opening your bottle of wallop with a Shatner-era vessel. TG Daily is reporting that the latest iTunes 7.7 beta release hints at a new free application to be offered by Apple for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The application called Remote will allow iPhone and iPod Touch owners the ability to access iTunes wirelessly from anywhere within the home. It seems the Remote application would interact with iTunes on a computer in order to control streaming media.

Data to be transferred wirelessly to the iPhone/iPod Touch is expected to include song name, artist and other metadata included in the file for playback. TG Daily reports that Apple tipped its hat to offering such an application such as Remote when it filed an application for such a utility back in 2005.

The latest announcement by MetroPCS Communications will change all that through a new service called MetroFlash.

MetroFlash will allow subscribers the ability to use their existing CDMA handsets on the MetroPCS network. This will eliminate the need for customers to purchase a new handset if they don’t want one.

Nintendo DS Used to Teach Japanese English

Posted on Jun 30, 2008 03:29:35 PM

The Nintendo DS is one wildly popular device in Japan, and despite being available there for a fair number of years already, it consistently stays at second or third spot on the Japanese hardware sales charts each week even until today. One of the main reasons for its phenomenal success is the wide range of games which appeal to everyone, while non-game titles are also successful. So successful, in fact, that the DS is now used to teach kids how to read and write English. The Tokyo Joshi Gakuen all-girls school has opted for the DS to teach English vocabulary, penmanship and audio comprehension under a 1-year trial, with positive results showing. Does this mean English teachers in Japan will be out of a job soon?
