Pocket-lint does a first look review of the Samsung Omnia and writes, “Promising full touchscreen functionality with a business rather than consumer focus, the Omnia sports a 3.2-inch screen, comes with HSDPA 7.2Mbps and Wi-Fi connectivity, a 5 megapixel camera, accelerometer and will come with two memory options 8 or 16GB…It might feature a large touchscreen, but an iphone competitor this isn’t; nor is the i900 likely to stand up to any Android handset prototype we’ve seen to date down to the unimaginative user interface.” Read more about the Samsung Omnia. Brando is offering a USB Mirror Web Camera that is a webcam that also doubles up as a tiny mirror. The webcam also comes with a ring of LED lights, which will probably do its best to try and make you look brighter to the person on the other end. Brando also mentions that the webcam can be used as a spy web cam, since it looks very much like a normal desk mirror, though that really wouldn’t be very polite, would it? Imagine the personal tragedy it would cause to finally retire after 50 years of hard work, only to discover that your golf game is disastrous. You just can’t seem to get the damn ball in the hole, and the harder you try, the more frustrated and sloppy your game gets. And you thought golf was supposed to be relaxing! The problem could be an utter lack of athletic prowess, or perhaps a coordination issue, but for most of us, the problem lies in the most fundamental of skills: the swing. The high-quality leather SensoGlove puts your swing to the test using a host of sensors and a tiny on-board computer. When the SensoGlove notices a problem with the grip of your club, you’ll be warned both visually and audibly that something is amiss. Sony are already leading the way with OLED TVs, which have been out in Japan since last year and reached North America in January. But so far there has been no release on the European market. That may change, however, if news reports this week are to be believed.
The Japanese business news outlet Nikkei business daily is reporting that OLED TVs are now being considered for the release schedule in early 2009 across Europe. They received their information froma Sony spokesperson who declined to comment further on any firm plans.
Both Japan and North America have an 11-inch OLED TV Model XEL-1 available at a cost of around US$1,800, but no further detail is available on the potential European models.

There are dozens of ipod speaker docks out in the market, and the iPig docking station joins a long line of them. You get 25 watts of total power, and it also comes with a 4″ subwoofer and an adjustable bass control. Needless to say, as with any other generic speaker, you can plug this to portable media players, gaming consoles and various compatible audio equipment through the 3.5mm headphone jack. The eyes of the iPig are but speakers, while the ears function as touch-sensitive volume controls. Whenever the iPig is turned on, you will see its mouth light up. Choose from yellow, pink or white colors for $140 per unit. Source: Electronista

Even the men in suits want iPhones, and — if the reports are correct — they might even ditch their BlackBerries to get them. An article from ZDNET Australia says that the HSBC bank might swap wholesale to Apple’s iPhone, providing the handsets for around 200,000 employees worldwide. HSBC boss Brenton Hush: We are actually reviewing iPhones from a HSBC Group perspective … and when I say that, I mean globally Last year, other phone makers made much of the iPhone’s poor suitability for the business market, a perception helped along by Apple’s own PC vs. Mac commercials. Now though, with Exchange support and third party applications, those arguments are dust. (Read the full post about ‘HSBC May Ditch BlackBerry for iPhone’…)
