The USB Metal Game Pad features shiny chrome
If you’re tired of having the same old boring controllers to go with your favorite games, you’ll like this new design.  It features chrome and not just shiny plastic that looks like chrome.  Granted that means that you’re stuck making fingerprints all over it every single time you pick it up.  However, having a shiny controller like this might be worth the extra trouble it would cause. The device is coming from China’s Dream Cheeky, which in the past have offered all kinds of USB gadgets.  Right now there isn’t even the slightest hint as to where one might get one of these and when it would become available.  However, it is listed on the Dream Cheeky website, which shows all of the details on the game pad.  Well, besides the details we want most, which is where to get one.  According to the site it is compatible with both the PC and Mac.  It also features an 8-way directional game pad and is powered by USB with 6ft cables. iPhone 3G owners survey displays network shortcomings

Posted on Aug 25, 2008 09:06:46 PM

Do you think that the iPhone 3G’s problems are Apple’s fault? Or should the blame fall to the carriers? We’ve heard evidence for each case, but aside from some talk about a bad chipset we are still left speculating. Wired.com took it upon themselves to do an iPhone 3G owner survey to see just how well 3G performance was measuring up.

The survey was open to all iphone 3G owners and it measured upload and download speeds for both 3G and EDGE.

Asus Announces Smelly Laptops

Asus Announces Smelly Laptops
Asus wants you to wake up and smell your laptop. The Taiwanese computer manufacturer recently announced its line of four fragrant laptops with cheesy casing artwork to go along with their smelly themes. For example, a pink laptop called Floral Blossom sports a floral design and gives off the smell of — you guessed it — cherry blossoms. A rather questionable model is the Musky Black, which supposedly emanates a "musky scent" for the XXXtreme athletes. The other two models are blue and green, called Morning Dew and Aqua Ocean (as opposed to a non-aqua ocean), respectively. Feel free to use your imagination. Canon 50D; they say she is for real

Canon 50D; they say she is for real
Supposedly confirmed as of a few days ago, however we are still awaiting official word from Canon on their newest baby, due any day now. Complete specs, (translated from Chinese) are here for the time being. Apparently there had been a big bru-ha-ha when a photo hit the internet apparently taken by the new Canon according to it’s metadata (and the info right on the web page itself), on what many believe to be a Media Temple client page. This being a big oops, since they are a web dev for high profile clients such as Sony, Adobe, ABC and others. The others, in some people’s mind’s, could include Canon. Thus, a page that had Canon photos which was leaked onto the net before it was discovered and subsequently password protected. (Read the full post about ‘Canon 50D; they say she is for real’…)

New watch keeps track of the day but not the hours

Posted on Aug 25, 2008 07:06:55 PM

Here is one of those wrist watches that scream, “Why?” What I mean is that this new watch created by Romain Jerome is unique in the aspect that it is a timepiece, but it doesn’t keep track of hours, minutes or seconds. It only keeps track of the day and night. Not surprising, the name of the watch is similarly called, Day and Night.

The way the watch is read is that the watchface features two different Tourbillons that operate on a twelve hour schedule. When it is daytime, the day Tourbillion is running and when it is nightime, the night Tourbillon operates. Don’t get me wrong - the Day and Night Watch looks gorgeous.

Illuminated Skeleton Graveyard

Illuminated Skeleton Graveyard
Add a touch of ghastliness to your yard this coming Halloween with the Illuminated Skeleton Graveyard. This is the graveyard composed of 26 plastic illuminated upper arm bones and skeletal hands that form a three-sided fence that surrounds three foam tombstones textured and painted to look like granite. The fence can enclose a 4′ x 4′ area in your yard. Two rubber rats with feral red eyes that glow with a hint of diabolical sentience lurk beside the upper torso of a skeleton that appears to be pulling itself out of the ground–the chest cavity still houses a beating heart that pulses from bright red to deep crimson as it lights, then dims.
